Facilities and Instrumentation

Facilities

CAMCOR is a comprehensive materials analysis center for academic, governmental, and industrial clients. Our 40,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility houses more than $30 million of characterization and fabrication equipment operated by dedicated experts adept at solving analytical problems.

Provides high-resolution scanning electron and focused ion-beam microscopy for nanofabrication and material characterization.
Performs atomic-resolution imaging and nanoscale composition analyses of materials.
Executes quantitative elemental analyses of solid materials by electron microprobe.
Investigates the structure and composition of materials through the diffraction and fluorescence of x-rays.
Characterizes the chemistry and topography of the outermost few nanometers of materials.
Determines the identity and structure of molecules in solution and solid-state materials.
Examines thermal, mechanical, and processing performances of polymer-based materials and composites.
Lab Microfabrication and Characterization Facility
A shared user laboratory for the characterization, evaluation, and fabrication of microelectronic devices and photovoltaic cells.
